As a massive geek at heart, I specialise in livening up technology events, conferences and meet-ups. If you’ve ever sat in a grey tech conference hall you’ll know, some of them need a sense of humour.

I have a masters degree in human-centred computer systems.

No, I’m not sure what that means either.
I think my MSc is something to do with making computers user-friendly.

And goodness knows, we could all do with a bit of that.
Coding Coach
I’ve been a visiting coding coach at meet-ups like Codebar, Polyglot Devs and FreeCodeCamp. Touring various tech company offices in London from 2014-present.
I once did a course coaching coding to French students while half expecting the guillotine
Tech Talks

I’ve never actually done a TED talk.
But I gave a bastard of a good tech talk at the last London Bar Camp unconference.
Much like the real-life Stefan Butler from Black Mirror Bandersnatch. 🖭

Online / Escape Room Host

In the past I’ve been characters in immersive events and team building games. My influences include Labyrinth’s Hoggle, Richard O’Brian in the Crystal Maze and Patrick Moore in Gamesmaster (1992).
During covid I was briefly a host of an online escape room on Zoom. But I can’t do a forced fun face.

In hindsight team building on Zoom was a terrible idea – but it was covid.
I now host regular events in Virtual Reality.
